Mark spent his late teens and twenties being a DJ. First running a mobile disco, for over a decade, before moving into playing in nightclubs such as Media, Dogstar, Ministry Of Sound and Sugar Hut Brentwood.

Mark's love of music eventually led him into writing music reviews. Commissioned to write his first ever review by Heat Magazine's Entertainment Director Boyd Hilton. Mark continued to write music reviews for Heat Magazine, whilst expanding his writing into his other love - Movies. 

In 2012, Mark joined the Entertainment Focus team, where he reviewed the latest movies and TV shows released on DVD. He was soon recruited to work for New Empress Film Magazine, writing reviews & articles for the website and the magazine. Shortly after joining Mark was promoted to Multimedia Output Manager, responsible for all video content including news, reviews and interviews.

Mark is currently part of the writing team for Screenjabber, where he has written reviews & feature articles and has conducted many interviews for the site. Mark conducts interviews for Flicks And The City, where he has video interviewed many actors, directors and writers. Mark is also a contributor to An Englishman In San Diego's website, writing several articles about movies, TV shows & comic conventions and is a regular guest on the live weekly Cup O' Tea video broadcasts.

Mark is the resident film critic on Joff Hopkins' Evening Show for Anglian Radio. Broadcast every Thursday and syndicated across the five Anglian Radio stations covering Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. 

If not watching films or listening to music, Mark can be found following his favourite football team - Nottingham Forest - around the country. Mark also enjoys reading crime novels. His preferred authors are George Pelecanos, David Simon, Richard Price and Dennis Lehane.

Mark has been working in the entertainment industry for over 25 years. He is a movies and music geek, and proud of it.
